Day 4

Just something quick tonight. i am super busy not only with the puppy but now my youngest has a fever too. I tell you it is amazing the things mothers can do. if someone told me last week that this week I would only be sleeping about two hours a night and i would still manage to clean the house and cook, I would have laughed and told them they were high. Today has been a pretty good day all in all. Little Angel is putting on weight!!! I have started weighing her by the gram now. It is easier to see the slightest difference that way. So the weights in grams is as follows...
Day 1~ 102.06
Day 2~ 96.39
Day 3~ 99.22
Day 4~ 107

I just hope she keeps it up. Honestly I do not know how she is gaining anything with as much as she poops. Callie will not clean it either. Can't say that I blame her it is that mothers milk color and stinky.

I still have to put Angel on Callie to nurse. Callie will lay down next to her but Angel can not seem to find where to latch on by herself. I am also having to alternate which nipples she uses since she is the only one.

I have also added some soft toys to her box now. She is not ready for play anytime soon but this does simulate littermates. She needs to be able to learn to climb up and over things and it also gives her something warm to snuggle with and even climb under to keep warmer. She seems to like this much better and will stay on her heating pad now to sleep. I don't have to hold her all night.

Callie seems to get more and more interested in her everyday though. Given different circumstances I am sure she would have been a very loving and attentive mother right from the start.

Oh yeah and the front is back on the box and the pillow is out. I was so glad that Callie left Little Angel in there and doesn't seem to mind as much today. It is so much safer and better for her this way.
